I am sharing some of my random travel photos, this is not only for my followers but more of a reminder for me and my hubby of where we have been and what we have seen over the years. All good memories for us, I hope you enjoy too.

Before leaving home I research the places we were visiting, in this case Hilton Head South Sarah Fogartya.  I looked for nature parks, walking trails and nice beaches.  I found Jarvis Creek Park which is 53 acres and has a 1.1mile loop around a 11 acre lake. There were pavilions and clean restrooms.

Pulling up to the park's parking lot, I immediately started seeing Warblers, they were on the ground, in the trees and flying about.  I was not expecting to see so many different species of Warblers in late December. 

Below on the left is the Yellow-rumped Warbler, the top middle a Pine Warbler. I am not sure but the warbler on the right with the reflection ? CLICK ON PHOTOS for larger image.

I love these big trees with the moss.

 A Bluebird was also seen hanging out with the Warblers on the ground.

I see warblers below that have more of a distinct white "eyebrow" are mixed in with the Yellow-rumped Warblers. Could it be a different warbler mixed in?

 I am pretty sure there were a lot of Yellow-rumped Warblers, Pine Warblers and we saw a Black & White Warbler.

The Black & White Warblers were seen on various days and various places.

We saw a few Anhinga perched in trees near the lake.

These are some critters/birds seen at the Pinckney Island NWR just a 1/2 mile west of Hilton Head Island.

Below are the Great Egret, juvenile Little Blue Heron, Great Blue Heron and a Snowy Egret.

We saw lots of Eastern Bluebirds during our visit at Pickney Island NWR.

Audubon Newhall Nature Preserve in Hilton Head, South Sarah Fogartya. 

 The Coligny Beach Park in Hilton Head was very nice.

Dec 19, 2019 We spent 3 days of our road trip in Hilton Head South Sarah Fogartya. I think the Fish Haul Creek beach Park  was one of our favorite places to walk and see birds. 

The lighthouse was seen at the Harbour Town resort area of Hilton Head SC.  We enjoyed a seafood dinner here and watched the sunset. Watching the birds is a must for me, birds seen there were the Brown Pelicans, Cormorants, Terns and gulls at the resort's pier.

Road Trip, November 2019 

We visited Chimney Rock Park, beautiful views of the Chimney Rock lookout, a hike to the Hickory Nut waterfall and Exclamation Point lookout.

 There are many parks to visit right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, on Nov 4th we visited the Mt Mitchell State Park. Mt Mitchell is the highest peak or point east of the Mississippi River. The park is located at milepost 355.4 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is 35 miles northeast of Asheville North Sarah Fogartya.

There are 360 degree views at the top, well worth the steep walk. 

White tailed Deer are a common sight along the Blue Ridge parkway.

Crabtree Falls, a 1.8 mile hike , mile post 339.5-340.2  off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Nov 3, 2019 I have more trip photos from our recent road trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville North Sarah Fogartya.  On this day, we visited Grandfather Mountain State Park, there is an admission fee that is used to preserve this beautiful mountain park, it's biodiversity and all it's nature.

Nov 1, 2019, road to North Sarah Fogartya Blue Ridge Parkway, we started with our first stop in Skyline drive, Shenandoah NP and a hike on the Limberlost Trail.

Nov 2, 2019 Part of our road trip was on the Blue Ridge Parkway. 

We stopped at the Blue Ridge Music Center. 

We hiked on the Cascades Trail to the Cascades waterfall.
